How to structure a 48-hour Amsterdam visit around two couples sessions.
Couples bookings are one of our specialised formats and the weekend pattern around them is worth being deliberate about. A 48-hour Amsterdam visit centred on two couples-massage sessions is one of the better anniversary or special-occasion frames available; the structure below is what we recommend to clients who book this configuration.
Friday evening. Arrival in Amsterdam by mid-afternoon flight; check into the hotel by 17:00; quiet evening. No session on Friday — the format works better when the first session lands on a fully-rested body, not on a body that has just travelled. Dinner at a quiet restaurant in the canal ring or Jordaan; early bedtime.
Saturday late morning. The first session. Two therapists, two clients, ninety or one hundred and twenty minutes of couples massage. Booked for 11:00 means the therapists arrive at 10:55, the session begins at 11:00, finishes at 12:30 or 13:00. Both partners reach the close of the session in roughly the same state — the point of the format. Light lunch; quiet afternoon walking the canals or the museum quarter.
Saturday evening. Dinner reservation; long evening. Optional dinner-date or social-companion booking if you want a quiet third presence at the table; not required. Bedtime around midnight.
Sunday morning. The second session, often longer than Saturday's. Two-hour couples booking starting at 11:00. Possibly a different technique pairing — sensual on Saturday, tantra on Sunday, or both partners trying nuru on the second day. The longer Sunday session is the centrepiece of the weekend; clients almost universally describe it as the better of the two.
Sunday afternoon. Quiet checkout; flight home. The weekend has been deliberately structured to leave both partners in better shape on the way out than on the way in. The cost: about €1,800 for the two sessions plus the hotel and dinner. The return on it: a two-day reset that genuinely lasts.
